The Venue

Tirupati is considered as one of the holiest Hindu pilgrimage cities because of Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, besides other historical temples, and is referred to as the spiritual capital of Andhra Pradesh. The Temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Vishnu. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has named Tirupati as the "Best Heritage City" for the year 2012-13. Tirupati is also home to many educational institutions and universities. The College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati was established on 15th July, 1955 and celebrated its Diamond Jubilee. It is a constituent College of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati. Since its inception the College is actively involved in providing quality veterinary education, research and extension activities in the state.
